All-American at the University of Arizona in metropolis and an Olympic gold medalist. Before becoming the most famous softball player of all instances Finch excelled in sports at La Mirada High School on the eastern border of Los Angeles County. As a prep athlete Jennie played varsity basketball and volleyball in addition to softball. During her four years of college she accumulated a total of 119 wins which ranked her twelfth on the all-time list in the NCAA record books at the instance of her graduation.

In the 2004 Olympics in Sydney, Australia Finch helped the United States team lie the competition and cruise to a gold medal. Since acquiring her much deserved honor Jennie has appeared with some regularity on various television programs promoting softball. In a move indicative of her strong sense of character Finch turned down an offer to appear nude in Playboy magazine in exchange for a sizable amount of money.
